Bangladesh vACC is looking for a motivated individual that possesses a high degree of energy and commitment to serve as the Director Events & PR (ACCBGD3)

Note: This is a key position candidates are expected to fulfil the position stated above for a minimum of 1 year from the time of appointment.

Reports to: Bangladesh vACC Director (ACCBGD1)
Location: Bangladesh vACC and all ATC facilities within its area of control

Expectations:

General:

• Supports the Bangladesh vACCs mission of Creating a Positive Environment to Learn, Control, and Fly.
• Serves as a Leader to coach and motivate controllers while upholding a culture that builds exceptional internal and external pilot experiences.
• Supports and participates in initiatives that give back to the VATSIM community.
• Holds self and others accountable to high performance standards while providing pilots with memorable experiences.
• Has ability to listen to feedback and take constructive action.

Functional:

• Works in collaboration with Virtual Airlines and other VATSIM Divisions and vACCs to leverage synergy opportunities across VATSIM.
• Coordinates with neighboring vACCs to arrange support for ACCBGD-hosted events, and arranges ACCBGD support for neighboring events.
• Develops, curates, and distributes marketing material (graphics, news posts, forum posts, etc.) to promote events and the vACC.
• Organizes, promotes, and collaborates events on behalf of the vACC.
• Maintains and updates all approved social media and internal and external communication platforms.
• Acts as a spokesperson for events and marketing activities.
• Understands and drives appropriate metrics at the direction of the vACC Director to assess Controller performance within the Event environment.
• Attends periodic meetings to report on vACC activities.

Selection Criteria:

• Hold at least an S2 rating. C1 controllers preferred.
• A Pilot rating of P1 or higher is considered as a bonus.
• Must be an active member of the network in good standing.
• Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Ability to speak/understand languages spoken in VATWA nations will be an added advantage.
• Must be able to work in a multi-cultural environment where English is not the first language.
• Must be available for regular correspondence (via the primary means of e-mail), as well as routinely checking VATSIM forums and other outlets for official notices.
• Be a member of VATSIM West Asia Division & Bangladesh vACC or is willing to transfer if selected.
• Demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of VATSIM as well as local (Division and vACC) policies  (e.g., Code of Conduct/Regulations/Privacy/Safeguarding Minors/GDPR).
• Comply with the Bangladesh vACC active membership requirement as controller as per Bangladesh vACC Constitution and dedicate sufficient time fulfilling vACC staff duties every week.
