Hello I am new to VATSIM. I am wanting to know what clients can be used with FSX. I am still trying to figure this all out so thank you for your help and patience.

As of now, only FSInn/FSCopilot will allow you to connect to VATSIM using FSX. And it works quite well. You can find it here: http://www.mcdu.com/en/index.php

Thanks for your quick response sir. I have just come up with another question, though, that may seem quite obvious and stupid. How do I connect to VATSIM through the sim? I am really lost, but thank you for your help. Also, Julian I have a Dell XPS 410 with a NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS 256mb video card. It works really well for me. I have all of my settings maxed out and in the densist of areas it only goes down to 14-15 FPS, which is not great, but I really don't spend that much time in areas like that so I am usually getting around 25 FPS. It's great and I would recommend the XPS if you do not want to build your own machine. Again, thanks for your help with my issues lol.

On www.vatsim.net click on "New Pilots start here". That will take you to the Pilot Resource Center or you can go direct to www.vatsim.net/prc. Then read the tutorials, which will tell you all about how to set up software, how to connect, and how to fly on the network.

By the way, there's plenty of information, including the link to the PRC in Pilot Software Forum on here.

Have fun!

PS FSX is not designed to be maxed out on the current generation of computers. Push your sliders down a bit and your frame rates will come back. The max settings are for the forthcoming Vista and DirectX 10
