The VATSIM Special Operations Team seek to hear from suitably qualified VATSIM members to jump into a new venture by the Special Operations Team, inline with new developments within the Special Operations space the Special Operations teams seek to establish a ATO under the VATSIM Training structure to offer Military Pilot Ratings.

The successful candidate will be jumping onboard to lead the startup team to develop and implement the ATO structure and systems inline to achieve ATO status in conjunction with the VATSIM Pilot Training Department.

Special Operations Instructors

 

Duties:

 

·         Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with the VATSIM User Agreement, Code of Conduct, Code of Regulations and Special Operations Policy & Procedures Manual

·         Recruit, lead and motivate Pilot Training Staff

·         Develop and Maintain Pilot Competency schedules for each rating

·         Ensuring that members undertaking training and assessment are provided with the necessary mentoring and instruction to ensure high standards are met.

·         Ensure the timely processing of training service requests

·         Create and Maintain Pilot Training web content

·         Promote the training of VATSIM Special Operations pilots at all levels of experience

·         Conduct periodic reviews and audits to ensure the quality of all VATSIM VSOA Partner pilot training activities.

·         Support your direct reports and team in engendering a positive team culture.

 

Position Holder Attributes and Requirements:

·         Must hold a reasonable experience with the Military & Special activities space of flight simulation

·         Be a member of good standing in VATSIM for more than two years at the time of application (prerequisite)

·         Have good knowledge of the VATSIM Code of Conduct and Code of Regulations & Special Operations Policy & Procedures Manual

·         Have proven ability in the management of a small group of people

·         Ability to work well within a voluntary organisation

·         Have proven ability with the use of Flight Simulation and VATSIM Approved Pilot Client Software
