Hi Folks,

I'm new to Vatsim and I just downloaded and installed the latest version of Vpilot. I've Tried twice to connect to Vatsim.

I've go to the settings tab, fill everything out correctly and at the end I hit the apply tab and then the okay tab but it

gives me a configuration error that Says: " Specific default model for PrePar3Dv4 was not found(Bombardier CRJ700)during

the last scan of your installed models. Please enter a different default model". What do I need to do to fix this problem?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Keith Lovern

Did you remove the default CRJ from your P3D installation?

Ross,

Thanks for the reply back.I never had a CRJ on my p3d install that i know of. I downloaded a Freeware CRJ-200 .and as far i know that's the only one on there.

P3D has always come with a default CRJ. That's why vPilot uses it as the default model match if no better match can be found. Reinstalling the P3D content installer might bring it back.

Alternatively, you can just choose a different default model ... instructions are in the docs.

Ross

Thanks for the help

I'll try the later, sounds like my best chance  since i obviously lost the CRJ.

Could you recommend another default model.?

I can't recommend anything, because I don't know what you have installed.

Ross,

I'm sorry to Keep bothering you. All of

This is new to me and i apologize for sounding like idiot. I have numerous airliners installed both freeware and payware. Can i use one of them or does it have to be a plane that came with the sim  i.e. F-16C for example.?

Disclaimers:  I'm not Ross, I don't play him on TV, and I didn't stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night... 🙂

But I might be able to help...  I would suggest that you want to reference a low-res default or AI model.  NOT a high-res aircraft add-on (e.g. PMDG, etc.).  I suppose you could use an F16, but you may want to consider if you really want every unmatched aircraft (e.g. Boeing 747s, big Airbus', etc.) showing up as F16s....

Also, in case it helps, here's the normal path to find the P3D CRJ 700

Don,

Just wanted to tell you i finally got my model matching problem solved and i am currently observing at KPHL on vatsim. I did not find a folder in my airplane list that said CRJ-700 but i did find a folder that said Commercial Airliner and it had the Airbus A321 AI Plane in it so i used that and it worked perfectly. Thanks so much for your help.
