VATSIM West Asia Division is seeking potential candidates for the following position. Deputy Events Director - VATWA8

 

Position Duties

The following duties are a summarized description of the position which may be limited to the following.

• Organize online events in collaboration with the Divisions and establish annual events.
• Build relationships with vACCs within VATWA and neighboring Divisions, virtual airlines etc. to organize international or major events.
• Reports quarterly event activity to the Division Director & Division's Events Director.
• Informing Division and vACC members of upcoming events within VATWA and neighboring Divisions.
• Handles social media official handlers of VATWA for Events & Marketing.
• Maintain an active online presence within the Division.
• Any additional task may be assigned by Division Director Or Division's Events Director related to Events & Marketing.

Requirements & Essential Criteria

• Ideal candidate would hold at least an S3 rating. (VATWA ONLY: Special circumstances may be applicable to candidates who are currently under-going S3 rating at the time of applying).
• Although not mandatory, ideal candidate would hold at least P1 rating.
• Additional knowledge of graphic designing would be considered as an advantage.
• Has good communication skills and has the ability to speak and write in English.
• Is in good standing with VATSIM and has no prior record within the past 12 months at the time of applying.
• Current or previous staff roles or other related experience of managerial management aspects are desirable but not mandatory.
• Must be a member of VATSIM West Asia Division or is willing to transfer if selected.
• Able to spend a minimum of 5 hours or greater on a weekly basis for Events & Marketing tasks.
• Able to work as an individual and part of a team.
• Able to prioritize and plan effectively.
• Able to commit to the position for a minimum of 1 year.

• Division Director - VATWA1
• Division's Events Director - VATWA7

• Letter of intention detailing why you want to be the future Deputy Events Director for the Division, your plans for the position, any ideas you might have or suggestions that could benefit the Division and the Events & Marketing Department.
