vPilot for MFS2020 unable to contact ATC/no audio

I've tried numerous settings and still no luck in getting to communicate with ATC via voice or text, it shows I'm connected and ATC can see me on their radar but I use the assigned push to talk (PTT) button and nothing happens even though the software is receiving audio signals form my headset. and yes i do run as an administrator. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
