Full details and a new website are available at http://www.vatoce-convention.net/

These Conventions are well worth attending as you will get to meet many of the OCEANIA members, attend workshops and presentation on all aspects of our virtual aviation world. Pilots and ATCO enjoy the presentations by members from both the real and virtual world of aviation.

We are now only three weeks away from the VATSIM OCEANIA convention in Melbourne starting October 6th. There are still places available for the convention and if you are considering coming along, now is the time to register to confirm your attendance at the convention.

Visit www.vatoce-convention.net to register and see the program.

With just ONE WEEK to go until the VATSIM Oceania Convention in Melbourne, it's time that you all made your final decisions. There are still plenty of places left for both the convention and the dinner so you need to book NOW.

Information and programme can be obtained from the Marvelous Melbourne Website.

Melbourne is proud to be hosting the 2007 VATSIM Oceania convention. This meeting will be held at the Holiday Inn Melbourne Airport on Saturday 6th Oct, 2007, with a range of related aviation and flight simulation activities to take place the following day on Sunday 7th Oct, 2007.

REGISTRATIONS CLOSE ON WEDNESDAY 3 OCTOBER 1700 AEST As we must let the venue know final numbers by this time we are unable to accept registrations after this time. Please if you have not registered but intend to come do so immediately. We can accept payment on the day but we must have a firm indication that you are attending by Wednesday. If you aren't attending then there is still time to change your mind.

The final details of the programme for Saturday and Sunday have just been posted to the site, including a map of the BBQ location. Maps showing the location of various hotels in relation to the terminal have also been posted on the Accommodation page

A range of interesting, entertaining and informative sessions have been organised for Saturday 6th October. A wide range of topics will be covered and there is sure to be something new for everyone. John Venema from Orbx Systems will be delivering one of our keynote addresses on the development of VOZ and the upcoming Orbx Ground Terrain Product for FSX. John will show the first ever public demonstration of Orbx Ground Terrain Product for FSX during his address and attendees will be able to place pre orders for the product. This will be the World Premiere of Orbx Ground Terrain Product for FSX, so don't miss this.

Flight Experience are also sponsoring us and will also deliver a key note session. They will tell us about the history of the company, the current state of play and future franchise opportunities in Australia. They have donated 5 Ultimate Flight Experience vouchers. We will auction 4 of these vouchers which are worth $350 and will get you a 2 hour session in any of the sims in Australia or New Zealand at the conference. In addition delegates who registers before 31 July 07 will go into a draw to win one of these vouchers, which will be drawn during the convention.

On Sunday 7th October we have organised a wide range of aviation and simulation related activities. Some of these may involve extra cost and some with limited slots will be filled on a first in basis. We hope to have details of the session at the Melbourne Flight Experience simulator shortly.

So browse around the site, see what we have planned and start making your arrangements to meet us in Marvellous Melbourne!

Any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
