The airport Application phase officially finished yesterday as everyone was flying to see Santa in Finland. We're slowly setting up our systems for our voting phase. Good luck to all airport applicants🫡

Cross the Land: Westbound 2023 Airport Voting

The CTL team is happy to announce that voting is now open for our February Westbound event! This is your chance to shine, pilots, as you get to pick the participants! Retweet, like, and let us know who you're voting for! To all applicants: Good luck! Here, at https://ctl.vatsim.me/voting, you can vote for your preferred airports.

How do I vote?

Visit the website, log in using VATSIM Connect, and then use the top navigation bar to navigate. Click "Airfield Voting" from there. Arrival categories A, B, and C will be presented to you after the general departures category. Members should indicate their top three choices for departure and arrival times for each category; at the end of the voting period, each vote will be tallied using the Single Transferable Vote (STV) mechanism.

  • HESH - Sharm El-Sheikh International
  • OBBI - Bahrain International Airport
  • OEJN - King Abdulaziz International
  • OIIE - Imam Khomeini International
  • OOMS - Muscat International
  • OJAI - Queen Alia International

Arrival Airports - Category A

  • EDDF - Frankfurt Airport
  • EHAM - Amsterdam Airport Schiphol
  • EKCH - Copenhagen
  • LPPT - Lisbon Humberto Delgado
  • LOWW - Wien Schwechat

Arrival Airports - Category B

  • LTFM - Istanbul Airport
  • UUEE - Moscow Sheremetyevo
  • LEBL - Barcelona–El Prat Airport
  • ENBR - Flesland Bergen

Arrival Airports - Category C

  • LHBP - Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport
  • LIRN - Napoli Capodichino
  • LBSF - Sofia Airport
  • EVRA - Riga International Airport
  • GMMN - Mohammed V International

The voting period commences effective immediately and will end on the 18th of December at 22:00 UTC. Good luck to all applicants!

In order to compensate for LOWW missing from the Category A list we have reset the votes for that category specifically. Please resubmit your votes for Category A.
