Hello you guys!

I'm strugelling talking and/or hearing ATC.

My FSinn says I'm connected and i can see the ATC names but I can't talk to them.

My version of FSinn is 1.2 and my FSCopilot is 1.6.

What must I do?

Johan

You're running the wrong version on FSInn. Take a look at the first message in the FSInn Help Forum, Announcement - Installing FSInn.

Be sure to do a full uninstall of FSCopilot/FSInn when changing versions.

I just did update to see if it works, but still, can't hear or talk to them. I was at LHR, JFK, SIN, LAX and some other places where most of the ATC's are but i just can't hear or talk to them. What programs do I need except FSInn,FSCopilot and vroute.info?

Please answer 3 questions.

1) Which key did you select for PTT?

2) Did you tune your cockpits radio to the frequency of the ATC you wanted to talk to?

3) Did you test between directsound and Wave?

Where do I find this FSInn help forum?

Look at the top or the bottom of this page where it says "VATSIM.net Fourm Index" and click on it. Then scroll down to the FSInn Help forum.

Did you hold down the Shift key and tap the 2 key while in the Flight Simulator screen?

Please answer two questions.

1) Which Aircraft are you running?

2) What happens when you're in the Flight Simulator window and you hold down the Shift Key and type the number 2 while the shift key is held down?

There are other ways of pulling up the Radio Stack. You can right click on the Flight Simulator Screen and select Radio Stack under Cockpit. You can also get to it by clicking on the Views Menu item in the Menu Bar. under View Mode -> Cockpit -> Radio Stack.

Click the knob on the button and scroll the mouse up or down then click on the double arrow to toggle the standby setting to the active comm.

You can also click on one of the Com's on the top to either make Com1 or Com2 active.

I dont know the aircraft your trying to fly but it sounds very complex and with thegreatest of respect you sound like a new pilot and new to flight Simulator and VATSIM.

Perhaps you might like to learn about flying on VATSIM in a less complex aircraft, perhaps a Cessna.

I not being rude just trying to be helpful. You will notice the number of posts that come into this forum are quite a lot. Larry and a number of others of us try to help as much as we can but to start giving flight training lessons is a bit difficult.

Or learn to control your aircarft offline and learn it well then you can fly online then, or as I say try the Cessna.

Will you send me a picture of how your screen looks when you bring up your cockpit radio? There are a number of ways. The appearance will depend on the method you use for bringing and the type of Aircraft you're in. Also, toggle all the shift numbers (shift+1, shift+2, shift+3, etc..).

I'm sure right clicking and using the menu bar will bring up a different cockpit radio view. You can capture a screen imagine by hitting the print screen key, then paste it into Paint (found in the Start -> Accessories menu). Then click on http://www.apollo3.com/~ljames/upload to send it.

Out of the thousands of buttons you might see, the only ones you'd be interested in will be the ones [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ociated with Com1 or Com2.

in the first instance you just need something that you can find all the relevant controls on so you can connect to VATSIM and listen in.

I notice your a member of a VA but is this the first time you have tried flying online with VATSIM.

VATSIM is a steep learning curve but you will find we are ll here to help the best we can.
