there will be a event on 16/04/2005 1300z form RkSI~ VHHH , we took US AIr Mr Rob.JR invitation to be ATC for this event , I would like to invite you all HDA(Dragonair Virtual) or non- HDA pilot to come fly with us at the 16th of April ,2005 at 1300Z

and also ,

message from US Air CEO

An Interesting title for an event but it is true. Mark your calendars every for April 16th.

The festivities kick off with a flight from Souel, Korea RKSI to Hong Kong VHHH sponsored by our new Hong Kong Hub. This event is on VATSIM and Departure times will be early due to the huge time difference. Departures will start around 0800 Eastern time, for those curious thats 2000 hours either Saturday or Sunday night there in Hong Kong hence the early start time. The flight is approximately 2 hours in length.

VOICE CHANNEL FOR BOTH VATSIM EVENTS IS: rw.avsim.net/Virtual-USAairways this will work on AVC or Roger Wilco plus Squawkbox 3 should be out by then.

Then at 1300 Eastern Time (1700z) same day we kick off yet another event with a flight from Pittsburgh to Charlotte to Fort Lauderdale on VATSIM. I will see about getting some controllers up for the event. Invite your friends and other VA's to these events. The more traffic we can put it the sky the more fun when that traffic has to land.

Then on Sunday (time to be determined) will be yet another event sponsored by the gang at Hong Kong on West Coast. More details to come on the flight but tenativly the flight plan is Beijing, China ZBAA to Hong Kong VHHH.

I think I can join the event at the night.

I will open Taipei Control on 125.5 to provide enroute service.

Welcome to fly over Taiwan via B576.APU.A1 airway from RKSI to VHHH

William, I think you should invite Japan ATC to join the event, then we can provide complete service all the way between Korea and Hongkong.

I also want to clarify the available route and cruising levels.

From Korea to Hongkong(SID and STAR omitted)

RKSI/RKSS B576 APU A1 ELATO A1 VHHH

Levels:before SALMI DME/FIX on B576(boundary point between Taipei and NAHA fFIR) are FL260 310 350 390

FL280 is blocked by HK FIR in real life.

After SALMI, you can request to change levels to FL260 310 320 350 360 390 400.

From HongKong to Korea

VHHH ENVAR M750 PILOX dct APU B576 RKSI/RKSS

Levels: 270 290 330 370 410

But in real life, you can fly on FL290 and 410 when you enter NAHA FIR.

It's fine to fly via VHHH ELATO A1 APU B576 RKSI/RKSS.

But you have to cruise on FL270 till you p[Mod - Happy Thoughts] APU VOR and join B576.

Taipei will provide Enroute control during the event.

This is VATKOR7

Are we clear on the event start time for all three airlines including USair, UPS, and Dragon Air?

I am seeing Dragon Air starting 1700 zulu instaed of 1300 zulu (April 16th).

I have no problem with Dragon Air starting at 1700zulu but it will be 2am in the morning and I doubt that they would have any air traffic control when they get to Seoul. It's going to be around 3-4 am when they reach the destination.

I advise USair to contact with UPS and Dragon Air to coordinate the time. April 16th 2005 1200 zulu would be the best for us but 1300zulu is fine too.

Along with RKSI, RKSS (Gimpo Int'l Airport) would be operational that day too.

We are expecting many domestic terminal varying from 10-20 and also expecting foreign traffic counting 10-30.

It's gonna be busy night. prepare for impatient ATCs with screaming voice

I'll be attending as Seoul Approach on 120.8

Good Day.

Ya, I think so.

Depart between 1200Z and 1300Z will be great.

Don't be too late, or you would have to maintain your own separation!

Mr. Ming Lee,

Is there anyway you can possibly contact Dragon Air directly and notify them about the correct starting time: 1300z?

All Airline Be advised: For ROK air traffic control function, 2 Incheon Center controllers (Western & Center) will be on duty and Seoul TMA will be staffed down to Clearance Delievery and Ground.

Please make sure all event starts between 1200 zulu - 1300 zulu.

Squawk Standby on the Ground please.

Thanks.

From RKSI to VHHH, it takes a long time to fly.

So I think if we have similar event next time, we may need to start earlier.

And all sectors must discuss about their local procedures, and find out a good way to cooperate with each other.

Then publish the procedures as early as possible, uin oder to help pilots make plan.

Everyone did a very great job. I did enjoy the night!

It was very nice afternoon/evening. I enjoyed ATC from Korea, Taipei and Honk Kong FIR's.

Well done!

Next time we should make a flight from/to Taiwan to/from Japan

Regards

Jan ( LOT037)

P.S: I have two pilot pics from under VHHH terminal - however I have no idea how can I upload them to forum.
