I don't know if this is the right forum to post this kind of thread. I have seen the "connection timed out" thread on the Squawkbox help forum but it just won't answer my question.

I have a router and it supports the internet of my 2 PC, but recently, whenever I'm connected into VATSIM through squawkbox and on cruise lets say I'm already 2hrs connected, the internet connection goes down, but the modem lights is just stable, I always restart my modem and router in order for me to reconnect. With this I can't do my flights properly, say I'm flying with ATC vectoring me, it'll be hard for me or to the controller because we need to start all over again or it's just not comfortable for me to have a fluctuating connection.

Thanks in advance guys.

Hrm. Interesting. Based on what you are telling me, I'm going to [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ume the issue is with the router.

Does the internet go down on the other PC also? And can you post your PC specs and the type of router please?

Thanks

Im currently using my old PC as the host. Yes, the internet in my other PC also goes down whenever the internet connection on this PC goes.

P~3 601Mhz with 512mb of RAM. Using the D-Link Airplus G+ Wireless router..

I can't seem to see any problems with my machine, but it just happens.

hey, romano,

looking at videos on youtube or downloading music occasionally takes my internet connection from me and it shows up as "connection timed out", it may/may not be coincidental but may also help you, but it could be something to look into.

cheers
