Ricardo Sosa 979914 Posted October 4, 2008 at 02:03 AM Posted October 4, 2008 at 02:03 AM Hi, Looking at already made airport and aircraft files made, I tried to make a file for an airport myself. It worked fine, just that aircrafts taxi on the EDGE of the taxiway, as if they're on the gr[Mod - Happy Thoughts] instead of taxiing in the middle. Another problem is with the runways... the aircraft don't hold short of it when they get to the threshold, instead they sit on the middle of the runway awaiting takeoff instructions. Sometimes they go off the taxiway and go directy to the threshold. Sometimes they are not yet to the threshold and they say they're holding short. I'm pretty sure I'm doing something wrong. I know the basics of making the files, now I need to get everything aligned properly. So far, I use the CTRL + SHIFT + ALT and double right click on VRC to get the points, but they come out as 12.34567, while in the other files not made by me they come out as 12.342678. Could this be the problem? Is there a better way to get the points on the files? Is there a tutorial to making these files? Can anybody help me? This is an example of how I put points on the file and the lines is what I depict as what the aircraft would taxi, unfortunately, the lines don't come out that way: http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i79/Junk_Rick224/TWRTRN.jpg Thanks in advanced, Ricardo Sosa ZTL Controller vZTL Events Director
Joe Caban 844086 Posted October 6, 2008 at 03:29 AM Posted October 6, 2008 at 03:29 AM get with Benton. He can show you how to fix it. Also I believe you need to redo the sector file to match our updated sector file. Regards, JX
