Is there a way to start from a gate with x-plane 9?

Unfortunately, no. I'm still lobbying Ben to have Austin put it back.

Make sure to disconnect before changing planes or airports.

If you can't start at a gate is it acceptable when flying online to start from a terminal ? Or can I not us xplane 9 to fly online?

thanks,

Grant

Here's a workaround solution that I've used:

1.Start at the runway, and taxi to the gate *offline*

2.Once at the gate, shut down engines (if you prefer)

3. Save the situation (File --> Save Situation) as something like (example), "KSFO Gate Cold Start"

Now whenever you want to depart from that particular airport on Vatsim, just load up the situation, then connect to the servers =)

You can start at a gate in most airports.

If the one you want to start at does not have that option, start at the runway, press location->local map->textured, then move the plane onto a parking spot

As of X-plane 9.30, the "Start all flights on ramp" option has returned.
