Mr. William Woo,

Roger. I will try to summarize the information.

One thing that is bothering me also is a graphical banner. I strongly believe that we need a pretty banner like one on VATSIM.net (EL AL & VATIL cooperation).

I am in no way a graphical expert... but i wanna believe we have at least one good person capable of doing this.

Mr Ming Lee and Gary Law,

I do believe you guys sorted out M750 and A1 route problem for now. However, i just want to confirm you that VATJPN can take care of both M750 and A1 oceanic enroute control and you guys have full authority over deciding what routes are doing what.

Thank You,

Mr.Jewon Lee, Yamane and Ming Lee,

Thanks for all your effort put in the event....

Then we will use M750 for Northbound Traffic and A1 for Southbound Traffic within RVSM Airspace.. ie. FL290-FL410 inclusive...

But A1 could still be used outside the RVSM airspace... ie. FL270 or below, FL430 or above...

I would like to imform you that Clearance Delivery in Hong Kong will not [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ign the cruising level...

The Final level will be [Mod - Happy Thoughts]igned by Enroute (Hong Kong Radar in VATSIM) according to the traffic...

We will try our best to give them their requested level, but when the level is occupied, we may give them a different level.

According to the agreement with Mr. Ming Lee which is dicussed a few days ago,

Traffic going through Taipei FIR - Hong Kong FIR boundary ...

Will have a separation of at least 10nm in different level, and at least 5 minutes in the same level...

Hi Jewon,

Agree. It's a real problem as I am no good on graphic too. Kar-lok (our webmaster) is now on leave. This is a hard time for me to maintain anything single-handed. Is there anyone from any division can help?

I have already announce our Fly-in intention in various forum and on the main website. We probably need to put up more details soon.

Mr. Yamane just informed me over the messenger that he would not be able to fill in all ATC position for the event on august 6th. Even though I did not understand his intention correctly from his memo, I think he wants to delay this event for one, two weeks for better preparing.

Mr dillema is this: Shoud we continue without full ATC service (maybe Center and Approach but no tower and ground) in Japan or Should we wait for a little more to make it complete and realistic?

I honestly do not know. What do you guys think?

Anyways, this is VATKOR's route proposal for this event:

1. HONG KONG(VHHH)

For Aircraft Departing RKSI,

RKSI-DADGA-B576-APU-A1-ELATO-VHHH

RWY 15 : OSN1S DEP, 33 : MALPA 1B DEP

For Aircraft Arriving RKSI,

VHHH-OCEAN-ENVAR-M750-PILOX-[ATS]-APU-B576-NUMDA-SID-RKSI

2. TAIPEI(RCTP)

For Aircraft Departing RKSI

RKSI-DADGA-B576-APU-RCTP

RWY 15 : OSN1S DEP, 33 : MALPA 1B DEP

For Arriving Aircraft

RCTP-APU-B576-NUMDA-SID-RKSI

3. HANEDA(RJTT)

For Aircraft Departing RKSS,

RKSS-SEL(ENKAS)-G597-XAC-V17-CAVIA-PQE-KAIHO-RJTT

RWY 14 : ENKAS1E DEP, 32 : SEL1W DEP

For Arriving Aircraft,

RJTT ZAMA(NDB:DF) Y20 AKANE Y12 YME V38 JEC G585 BULLS SID RKSS

---------------------

Edit: Just talked to Mr. Yamane... He's saying that RJTG CTR controller will be out of town for August 6th... He is looking for another person to fill in that position but he does not have a happy outlook either i think.

My guess is that we will need to wait since Tokyo Center is Essential in this event.

Stay tuned for more update.

Hi Jewon,

My advice is to keep the date.. 6th August.

GND is not a must. It is better to have a twr but the approach and Ctr control should be good enough to handle it just in case the twr is not manned.

So my suggestion is to keep going as planned - 6th August.

BTW, I will be out of town from 11th to 24th of August. Heading to Washington DC for the VATSIM conference and then to Long Beach for vacation.

That's exactly what I told VATJPN.

Mr. Yamane told me he would do best to replace that position but if he fails so, he would let me know no later than 22nd. I will see what I can do.

Mr. Yamane,

Even though I have not received your solution regarding staffing problem, a decision has been made. Event will be held on August 6th as planned. However, please make sure that VATJPN fills at least CENTER and APPROACH positions. As Mr. Woo pointed out, GND position is not an absolute need, so I think you can find some way to fill those empty center seats.

Mr. Woo,

I still haven't figured out how we are going to manage this event information website and logo banner. I do believe that the site needs to be up at least a week before the event so many pilots can prepare for the flight... To be honest, I think we need it RIGHT NOW.

What I was thinking regarding website is that we should set up four pages with side navigation section. We can have general event info for the first page. And we will have four different sublinks that direct to each division information pages. Each division will need to build their information page regarding the event as soon as possible in order to let VATASIA web admin can organize them and put them in the webserver.

Let me Know.

Two senior controllers whom I had relied on were not able to participate due to real work.

And, I understood the schedule change was difficult though it consulted.

Please wait from managing the controllers until the 22nd.

I'm so sorry causing anxiety.

controller's recruitment is continued now.

I wish to express our gratitude for your understanding.

We're also arranging our man power.

We expect to open 5 positions. But I expect to open 8 positions to share more owrk load.

The problem is how many traffic there will be!

I also had a problem that how you resolve ground position when initial connection.

If there are too many traffic, it will be easy to conflict with others when you are online.

Do you have any idea about it?

I wanna comfirm we have to make our own page about the event, or there will be one published by VAT-ASIA?

Because there are some procedures that pilots may have to comply. We must publish it somewhere.

You got it correct, VATROC and VATJPN each needs to make their own flight information page for this event. It should include all necessary charts (or links that direct to charts) and all other necessary navigation information. NOTAMs that must be disseminated also need to be included.

Then, each information web page that is made by each divison will be recollected by VATASIA and put it in a one form by VATASIA web tech staff.

Please come up and report with that page no later than end of this weekend (7/24).

If you cannot make html docomeent, you may give me all the information that needs to be on the page and I will make it by myself.

.

This is a nice image, I have a suggestion though.

I suggest to change the airport part to a radar scope image.

And part of them can show the landscape from Korea, Japan, Taiwan to Hongkong!

It will be easier to recognize how wide the service will be covered.

Also, I suggest to extend the width of the image to about 60% of the screen.

It will be better to be used as banner.

Hi Jewon,

It is a nice logo.

Please send me the final version ASAP.

I have set up a subdomain for the event. All the information should put inside that subdomain. There will be a logo on the main site and it will link to the event pages.

Some of VATROC members had discussions 2 days ago.

And we decide to open RCSS airport for the event. The airport is also inside of Taiper TMA, so we don't need extra approach.

But if taipei approach gets too busy to work, we'll arrange a position to take care of RCSS.

From RCSS to international route will be:

RCSS. ST3A. APU -->B576

-->A1

-->G587.PABSO.MOLKA.M750

RCSS. ST3T.MKG.A1

Arrival to RCSS from Northeast part(southwest bound arrival)

Will be cleared to APU via B576/A1 then radar vector to final

Arrival to RCSS from Southwest part(northeast bound arrival)

will be cleared to Zonli DME-FIX via M750.ANLOT.HLG.HL1Z

VATROC will hold an local event for ATC familiarization.

The date will be between 1300Z~1600Z on July 29th.

Welcome to fly!!

Hi Ming,

Could you please prepare the information page for VATROC and send it to me? I will put it up on the VATASIA website.

The information page need to include the airports open, the link to relevant charts, prefereed route to and form RCSS and RCTP and operation procedures that VATROC will impose.

Hope to get these things sort out ASAP,

Mr. William Woo,

the logo should be done soon, I can't guarantee a nice one but i'll do my best and work the tail off.

Mr. Ming Lee,

That's fine just try to coordinate the stuff with HKG people since that region is mostly affected by the change.

To just make sure: There should be NO CHANGE ON THE PLAN FROM NOW ON.

Mr. Yamane,

I also need your resoluction about the staffing problem by today.

I also need a information page for VATJPN also. I need that no later than this coming monday.

Thank you all and let's hustle up for the information page.

Maybe I didn't explain it properly, sorry about that.

We'll open RCTP and RCSS, which are both inside of Taipei TMA.

William:

I will advise david to make it ASAP. He is dealing with charts concerned currently.

It was the first time in my life to make this whole banner thing so don't yell at me for such bad quality.

Mr. William Woo,

Here is the final version and please contact VATSIM.net webmaster and request them to put this banner up on their very first page.

It needs to be on VATASIA website front page also.

Controllers on that day of the event...

RJTG_CTR(include RJTG_FSS)

RJDG_CTR

RORG_CTR

RJTT_APP

RJTT_TWR

The problem that I have now...

1. Tokyo APP login becomes 1230z

Hi Jewon, Keisuke, Ming and Gary,

Thanks a lot for all your efforts.

Now I have officially announced the event - Eastern Wind 2005.

The date and time are 6th August, 2005 1200Z to 1700Z

Please check the VATASIA main website http://www.vatasia.net/

The logo is there and it should link to an incompleted event site.

Please forward me all the FIRs information concerning the event and I can put it up onto the event site.

Jewon,

Please try to modify the main event pages. Kar-lok Wong (our webmaster) is now on vacation. He is physically in Hong Kong but he doesn't has good internet access to maintain the site. I am single-handed and I am not an expert in site-building at all.

Cheer,
