Have you tried setting the application settings into a compatibility mode for WinXP 32?

Andrew,

Thanks for the tip, i can only see compatibility settings to change to xp, vista etc etc none of the options mention 32 or 64. Am i missing something? I did try and set to XP SP3 but it just seems to hang when loading the aircraft files the program itself starts fine..

Cheers

Do you have the VB something-or-another (I want to say runtime) files?

What happens when you attempt to launch ACSIM? Forget about the VB files, it wasnt programmed using VB (Visual Basic).

It might be a Permissions issue. Make sure the application has permission to read the file. If not, run ACSIM as an Admin. If that fails perhaps its something wrong with the aircraft file.

Has there been a fix for this? Same thing, Windows 7 64 bit, AC Sim will load everything except the aircraft file. Tower Trainer works fine.

Thank you,
