The event is a great sucess and the Asia sky was full of traffics. All ATC provided excellent services. This was the busiest day ever since the establishment of Asia Region. I intend to keep a statistic of traffics but we are just too busy to keep a good count. A rough estimation is above 200+ for the whole area. Beside the orginally planned route and aerodromes, we also has Philippine (Manila FIR) covered with ATC. Again, big applause to every pilots, ATCs, staffs! Fantastic jobs! We do have a few follow works need to be done, May all of you coordinate and collect all the screen shots / captures / photos etc. Please pack it and send a copy to me. This is just a memorable day and we have to keep a record. Is it also possible for every participating FIR to give me a statistic or even an estimate of the following: 1. ATC position involved. 2. Traffics: no of internation departures / arrivals 3. Traffics: no of local / within FIR traffics. Jewon, would you mind backup the event pages and send me the copy? I will store it in the Asia site for reference. I know that Taipei FIR and Hong Kong FIR hold the event in cybercafe and they took lots of photos. How about Korea and Japan? Ming and Gary, can you collect some good photos and we might post it up in the Asia site. Lastly, less start thinking (and planning) for another regional event sometime at the end of this year. As a coordinator-in-charge of Eastern Wind 2005, I thank all pilots, controllers, and others involved in this fantastic event. Mr. Woo, I will surely send a copy of websites. However, I do understand that Korean controllers were unfortunately scattered in many locations. As you know, I was far far away from Korea and here in the United States Anyways, I will send some screenshots as I acquire them from my VATKOR staff. Wow guys, it was once again, a great success and I thank all of you who made this possible. I would like to take this chance to thank all the pilots flying into Hong Kong during VATASIA's Eastern Wind 2005 event. Also, I would like to thank all the ATCs in Hong Kong since they had put a lot of effort to make sure that the traffic flow is smooth and nice. Moreover, I would like to thank VATSIM and all staffs in VATASIA to organize this wonderful and excellent event in Asia region. We are looking forward to have another great event like this. Thanks for all the coordinators ,pilots and also controllers who had made this busy skies.... As I know there was about 70+ Traffic coming into and out from Hong Kong... And about the same number in Korea, Japan and Taiwan.... Really a huge number of traffic for us....which go beyond all the previous events... We are looking forward to more regional event in the very near future... And it could make us united....And keep us alive...
