Known Issues

  • 1. ACSIM defaults to using 45 Nautical Miles (NM) per Longitude. This will result incorrect headings being performed when playing the situation through ACSIM.
    2. During peak times, the Flight Plan response from vRoute may take in excess of 20 seconds.
    3. Older Euroscope versions will only load 2 ‘fake’ controllers.
    4. ASE does not load Euroscope modified sector files.
    5. The font does not install on Windows Vista -
Download Font
6. Windows Vista/Windows 7 users must install and run ASE as an administrator

Hello, sir!

I´m just making scenario for my students on your older program, this seems like nice upgrade!

But I have som dificulties, running VISTA, istalled as admin, and ASE starts like it is suposed!

When selecting Sectorfile, the screen is black, do not see the sectorfile!

I can load a old scenario, and the aircrafts are visible!

I have given the program al rights thru the forder, right clicking, still its not working!

Can you try what I am doing wrong!

This is the sectorfile I am using! http://www.vaccsca.org/component/docman/doc_download/26-euroscope-configuration-files-for-sweden-airac-0901?ItemId=77

Edit 1. The program works well with Hungary sectorfile that comes with Euroscope. I have alsow tested in XP and the same problem there, sectorfile is black!

When trying to open the zipfile, you have to open it with Winrar! I do not know why winzip report the package corrupt, it to work very well in Euroscope!

Whith best regards!

Is this happening on all sectors or just a select few? I am currently working on a huge fix to the sector loading code... should be available in a couple of days...Geez I hate processing text files, binary is sooo much easier!

Sorry Guys

Magnus and Alan,

Just go to the view menu and ensure that the relevant options are turned on in the sector file. First time I loaded a file same but the realised that all the settings were off.

Hello Phillip!

I do confirm, I have enabled everything under "view" in the menubar, still black! The the old scenario do load! When changing directly to inbeded sectorfile that comes along with instalation of Euroscope, it starts with no problems!

And I can report that SID/STAR option is emty in Swedish sectorfile, but in inbeded Hungary sectorfiles they show!

Unfortunately same here, by default after installation everything that is relevant under "view" is enabled.

Have you guys ensured that aswell as enabling the, the colours have been changed from black?

Craig, if that fixes the problem it looks like that issue with the default "black" is back!

I must say that having been a beta tester for Craig, the sheer dedication devoted to this program is worth a huge thumbsup - it's a great program and certainly makes life easier!

Hello Anthony!

I can confirm, that changing colors on background, fixes, and so on, did not help!

I do think the problem is how this program reads the sectorfile, when ASE v1.2 reads enbeded Euroscope sectorfile perfectly!

I will now download the other contries in VACCSCA(Denmark,Norway) sectorfile, and see what ASE says about them!

Edit 1. Denmark sectorfile works exelent, but did not find Norway beta sectorfile.

It is not working for me. I just downloaded the program, loaded a sector file and the entire screen is black. I made sure that the default colors were loaded and the view options turned on. The SIDS and STARS section is blank. It appears that the program did not load the sector file successfully. When I go to file -> recent sectors, it does not show the sector that I loaded last.

Manuel,

You have a PM. Which sector file is it you are trying to load? Is it a Euroscope Sector File? Is the sector file downloadable from somewhere?

Many Thanks

*** NEW UPDATE AVAILABLE ***

Just to inform, there is a new version to download. New features include;

Sector File - Sector colour defines fixed. There was an issue if the key already exists in the sector file, it would cause the program to error. Now, instead, it replaces the value of the existing key.

If an error occurs during loading a sector file, a message is displayed.

Once again, really sorry there has been 3 versions. These errors should of got stopped through beta testing...

Cheers!

Hello!

I and my member(Japanese) cannot start(boot) up ASE.

There is not any change.

There isn't a error message too.

I reinstalled again and again...

I was able to use old ASE comfortably.

Please teach if there is a method of solution.

OS:

WindowsXP

Japanese Home Edition

SP3

Thank you very much.

Sounds like the version check isnt completing. Make sure you have an internet connection. Or if you can, disable the internet and try to start up ASE. ASE will not try and check to see if its the latest issue (using the internet) and may load properly.

Let me know if it works. If it does work I will PM you to perminately by-p[Mod - Happy Thoughts] the version check. It may have been an issue with my webserver... if ASE cannot connect to the webserver, it will not load (unless by-p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]ed)

Many Thanks

Thank you very much!

All members are not able to start up ASE in I confirmed to several peoples.

Disable the internet and try to start up ASE. But,I can't start up...

I am confirming other members.

It might be a peculiar problem of Japanese?

Thank you very much.

This is my problem:

First, I created a situation file, populated it with ac, and saved it as a .air file for TWRTrainer, which I will be using. But, when I go to modify the situation file I had just saved, ASE will not open it. I hit File -> Load Situation File and select my file, then nothing happens. No aircraft pop up.

Please help.

Thanks.

Edit 1. Does ASE only create .air files and cannot edit them?

It would prove useless if you cant edit them. Could you send me a copy of the .air file by PM? I can only [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ume, that it is the culture invarience issue again. (Different symbols for decimal places) But if you are able to send the file/text then Ill be able to find the exact problem.

Many Thanks
