Hi all,

Would like to know other SE Asia virtual airlines besides CAL, SIA, JAL, CPA, VAI, SLK..

If the time is right, I don't see we cant do SE Asia VA events. Really think it will be awesome to see SE Asia busy on vatspy.

Hi there Romano, thanks for posting.. its a brilliant idea.

Lately we've seen many of SE Asia Virtual Airlines (VA), if I'm not mistaken PAL-VA is also exist.

The idea is (as always) to light up the whole SE Asia.

Perhaps we can do this by making a flight group event by visiting each SE Asia country, we can start either from Thailand (the newest VACC in SE Asia) or other countries in SE Asia. .

We used to have Asian Tropics Saturday Night Ops, which basically includes countries like: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines & Hong Kong (on some occasions). I think you remember this, yes? We can work this out again, as long as everyone is willing to participate. It basically depends on us, VATSEA Controllers. I also encourage some members of VATTHD (Scott) if they can lend a hand to some VACC's in VATSEA to help with the staffing, only way is, apply for a visiting controller permission.

I think this will cover all SE Asia VA home base. Proposed to fly on every saturday and sunday night.

If most of the ppl are in Asia, then we are not gonna have much time difference.

RJAA-RKSI-RCTP-VHHH-VTBS-WMKK-WSSS-WIII-WBSB-RPLL

Leg 1 RJAA -RKSI Saturday Night

Leg 2 RKSI -RCTP Sunday Night

Leg 3 RCTP -VHHH Saturday Night

Leg 4 VHHH -VTBS Sunday Night

Leg 5 VTBS -WMKK Saturday Night

Leg 6 WMKK - WSSS - WIII Sunday Night

Leg 7 WIII - WBSB Saturday Night

Leg 8 WBSB - RPLL Sunday Night

Legs are short distance and this will be fun to control for ATC.

Awaiting response from other SE Asia VA..

Same for Manila FIR. Let me know a specific time, date and staffing requirements so we can prepare for you. If you need routes, let us know as well as we may be able to suggest one or two. My email address is reece_hunter (at) yahoo.com.

Fantastic idea Ray! Let us know how Manila FIR can help make this a regular event!

Will be better if the Hong Kong and Japanese pilots can join in too, since this is a rather major groupflight. SIA, VAI and CAL did have a groupflight together once, and it did not turn out too well. More participation from other Asian VAs would be appreciated.

Ray, perhaps we can also close out the event with the final leg being RPLL-RJAA to complete the circle. We will be more than happy to staff for two consecutive weeks. Just a thought

Thanks again for coordinating this!

Is it possible that Shanghai FIR and its partner airlines become a part of this event? I am well aware that the itinerary has been finalized, but if ZSPD or any other airports within Shanghai FIR can be added, the Shanghai team would be more than happy to welcome all S.E.A. VA pilots.

Wow Great!

Let me arragne our Chief Operating Officer, Kelvin Siu, to be the representative of Cathay Virtual Hong Kong.

I would agree Shanghai FIR to join with us, maybe we could make one more leg from RPLL to ZSPD?

Hong Kong will provide Full staff services during the Leg 3 and 4

If there are news, please contact us anytime: [email protected]

cheers
