#514114 Hello, Recently my co-pilot and I have experienced some issues. Whenever he logs in as observer, its creating a duplicate plane that follows us around. This gets quite annoying when trying to set flightplans or follow checklists in the cockpit because the duplicate clips into the cockpit. This issue didnt always occur and im wondering why it just started.

If anyone has any ideas to a solution that would be great.

#514115 Which version of vPilot are you both using? When the copilot connects, is he copying the pilot's callsign and appending a letter at the end?

EDIT: Now that I think about it, I forget why the letter bit is even necessary with the creation of the observer mode...

The letter is necessary so that the observer doesn't inject a model for the non-observer aircraft.

Well... it seems so obvious now that you pointed it out. (Although, I think you meant it the other way around.)

@Justin - I see you've connected numerous times lately as "N126TX". Was this when you were trying to do a shared cockpit setup? If so, who were you flying with? I couldn't locate any connections for "N126TX" followed by a letter.

No, I meant it that way, but I can see how my wording could be interpreted either way. To be more clear, the letter is so that the copy of vPilot running on the observer's computer will not inject an aircraft into the observer's sim to represent the non-observer's aircraft.

#514200 Further to this - a related but not quite identical issue...

When conducting shared cockpit flights using the FSX-SE multiplayer function, whilst Observer mode prevents the user aircraft from being duplicated, we are finding that other traffic is duplicated. I assume that what is happening is that vPilot is injecting the aircraft in to the session for both parties, but FSX is also propagating the aircraft across the multiplayer session.

Any ideas? Would it be possible, for instance, to prevent the vPilot 'observer' from injecting any aircraft at all (obviously this would need to be a selectable option as other shared cockpit solutions don't use the FSX multiplayer session and thus would need vPilot-injected aircraft). Or is there something in the FSX settings that we're missing?

Cheers,

Simon
