#539236 Vatsim VSO Department wishes to invite applications from suitable candidates to assist the Senior Leadership VSO Team.

Responsible for building and maintaining VATSIM’s Special operations Policies, Procedures & Pilot Training. Uses analysis, feedback & Initiative to identify and assist VSO Leadership team & VSOA’s in creating, developing & maintaining Policies, Procedures & Pilot Training Records. This Director is also responsible for monitoring web sites and web links to ensure VSOA’s maintain compliance with VATSIM.net affiliation rules and guidelines. Serves as the liaison between the Director of Special Operations and VSOA’s for Policies & Procedural requirements. Establishes guidelines, provides a timely review of Policies & Procedures & Pilot Training Records and monitors for adherence to VATSIM rules and regulations.

Position Duties:
1. Responsible for building and maintaining VATSIM’s Special Operations Policies, Procedures & Pilot Training
2. Responsible for monitoring web sites and web links to ensure compliance with VATSIM.net affiliation rules and guidelines
3. Serves as the liaison between the Director of Special Operations and VSOA’s for Policies & Procedural requirements.
4. Establishes guidelines, provides timely reviews of Policies & Procedures & Pilot Training Records and monitors for adherence to
VATSIM rules and regulations

Position Holder Attributes:
1. Be a member of good standing in VATSIM for more than two years at the time of application2.
2. Demonstrated ability to make and keep commitments
3. The expectation of availability to attend all scheduled meetings for the duration of the meeting and engage daily in email and
voice communications with other Special Operation members in furtherance of VSO development and effectively engage with staff, members, and the professional media in problem-solving and relationship building.
4. Have excellent knowledge of the VATSIM Code of Conduct, Code of Regulations, VA/VSOA, and Pilot Training procedures
5. Has knowledge and experience of Virtual Special Operations
6. Have proven ability in the management of a small group of people
7. Be able to work effectively and build relationships within a volunteer organization
8. Have proven ability with the use of Flight Simulation software and VATSIM Pilot Client Software & Vatsim ATC Client Software
9. Able to leverage the strength of the organization to solve problems and find resources to apply to issues globally
10. Have some experience in policy & procedure development.
