#525395 Hi my name is John Sanders.
I have a question: I'm totally blind and I'm not able to see.
I noticed there was a new version of vrc that I had downloaded.
Once I had downloaded it and installed, I had copied the modified vrc file that was sent to me awhile ago.
The program is not working because it can't find the .ini file.
How should I go about fixing this?
I hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely,
John Sanders

#525403 Hi my name is John Sanders.
The file I'm referring to was when you had modified the program to where the messages that the pilots read were put in to the private chat log. Whenever I copied the vrc.exe file that I have saved to my computer, it says something about an invalid ini file.
I have installed the old copy of vrc I had. and it wouldn't connect to the networki.
The copy of VRC does.
How should I go about making the pilot messages be displayed in the private chat log in the new version of VRC?
I hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely,
John Sanders

#525406 John, are you able to tell what version number your modified exe file is? It shows the version number in the title bar of the window that first appears when you run it. That's the window where you choose which Session Profile to run.

#525421 Looks like that version is old enough that it was built before I made a change in the location of the INI file. Here is the URL for the most recent version prior to that change:

http://www1.metacraft.com/VRC/files/VRCSetup1.2.3.exe

Try installing that version, then copy the modified exe into place. That should set up the location of the INI file (and other files like the server list) in the location your modified version is expecting to find them.
