Matt Walters 1079820 Posted January 6, 2010 at 12:02 AM Posted January 6, 2010 at 12:02 AM i know there are alot of threads on this and i'm sorry to create another but ive looked through most and havent come across any with my specific problem. i run FS9 and SB4 and I am able to get the FS sound to play through my speakers and ATC to play in just my headset, however when i talk I can hear myself through the speakers. I am not using a USB headset. My comp will allow me to create 2 devices.. is there anyway to not hear myself? will a USB headset resolve this? Thanks for any help. Richard Gerrish Posted January 6, 2010 at 12:29 AM Posted January 6, 2010 at 12:29 AM yes a USB headset would resolve the issue. what sound card are you using and what OS? Richard Gerrish Developer, STM Applications Group

Larry James 901346 Posted January 7, 2010 at 11:51 PM Posted January 7, 2010 at 11:51 PM problem solved thanks Yes, Matt. As you said the question comes up lots of time with lots of discussions on the issue and possible fixes. What was your fix, was it to mute the mic in Windows Mixer playback (output) option? -- L.
