Phillip Levy 1086899 Posted January 10, 2010 at 02:59 AM Posted January 10, 2010 at 02:59 AM So I recently had to totally uninstall my FSX and reninstall it. All I did was deinstall then reinstall. I didnt move any of my programs or things. I had to renistall my scenery but my add on a/c seem to be there. The one thing I am having problems with though is that on both my FSX standard a/c and my addon a/c none of the radios or the gl[Mod - Happy Thoughts] screens are working...I was flying my C172 around and I can turn the AP on and use it, but I have to use the GPS (which I can see), and switch from nav to gps. Also my clock in the cockpit isnt showing anything. Anyone have any ideas? See you in the virtual sky , Phillip Levy
Ernesto Alvarez 818262 Posted January 10, 2010 at 03:58 AM Posted January 10, 2010 at 03:58 AM sounds like a bad install. your not going to like it, but uninstall FS. then go into your program files folder and completely delete the FSX folder to make it sure its all gone. then reinstall

Ernesto Alvarez 818262 Posted January 10, 2010 at 04:21 AM Posted January 10, 2010 at 04:21 AM the other thing you can do is just browse the CD and pull all the gauges out manually, altho that may not fix it completely. but its another less stressful option. i know i hate having to reinstall myself

Any future glitches with addons or other components that might be normal and easily resolvable can have the user wondering is it because of his bad install. Depending on how much time the user can apply to having a good initial install, I'd go with applying the time initially if I could allocate it. I would consider an install with the missing Radio Stack a major flaw. -- L. James -- L. D.
