I am having a problem where the metars are not staying in the list. I type in F2 CYYZ and the metar goes to the list but then dissapears after a few minutes. How can I keep it in the list for the entire session?

thanks,

Mark.

Hey Mark. Long time no chat. I am never on MSN it seems.

Anyways, I had the same issue. Not sure what settings I change except going into the active runways list and selecting each airport under my control, and choosing the active for each. NOW the metar automatically pops up with out selecting it, when the weather updates, and it does not disappear unless I manually do so.

Let me know if this has solved any problems for you - sorry if it does not help you. This feature was a hard one to figure out for me, and I love having my metar lists.

Thanks,

Tim

Hi all!

The setting you want can actually be found at:

Other SET -> General Settings -> Page 1 -> Miscellaneous Options -> Automatically display METAR of active airports

An "active airport" is an airport that meets these two conditions:

  1. You have the airport set as active for arrivals and/or departures
  2. You have at least one runway set as active for arrivals and/or departures

Once you make an airport "active", it's METAR is added to the list. You can display METARs by typing " Airport_ICAO ", but from time to time EuroScope will go through the METAR list, removing the METARs of airports that are not "active". Disabling the setting above stops the regular pruning of METARs from the list.
