Nick Johnston Posted January 12, 2010 at 10:28 AM Posted January 12, 2010 at 10:28 AM The VATNZ Board is seeking applications for the position of Deputy Division Director, VATNZ. The Deputy Director's primary responsibility is to fill in for the Director when required, and to chair the Board in his absence. As a full voting member of the board, the Deputy Director is expected to contribute to the smooth running of the VATNZ division through various projects undertaken individually and by the board as a whole. The Deputy Director is also required to liaise with other divisions' staff as required, and serves as VATNZ's Division Conflict Resolution Manager. The successful applicant will be someone in good standing with VATSIM and have been a member of VATNZ for at least the last twelve months. Applications are welcome from current board members and non-board members of VATNZ alike. The full position description and requirements for this role are available on the VATNZ web site. Applications should include a statement of intent and a summary of why the applicant is suitable for the position. Applications will be reviewed and discussed by the Board and Founders, and then the Board (less any board members under consideration for the position) will vote on the preferred applicant. In the event of a tied vote, the Director will cast the deciding vote.
