Dan Everette Posted September 29, 2005 at 08:06 PM Posted September 29, 2005 at 08:06 PM Hello! I'm in the middle of an "Around the World" tour (http://www.arcticspinnaker.net/worldtour) and the next 8 legs bring me around the African Continent. The flight plans I have are as close to great-circle route as I can get (utilizing airways), but am at a loss for charts. Since I enjoy planning/flying all my flights as realistically as possible, I'd like to be able to file (or accept and fly) a published procedure. I know the AIRAC contains procedures for most of the airports I'll be flying to, but I'm looking for the charts, in order to ensure I'm properly flying the procedure should ATC be online. I've searced the VATAME and followed links to respective country's websites, but have come up empty-handed (except for two fields). I'm looking for charts (SID/STAR/IAP/Airport Diagram) for the following fields: FACT FAJS HDTA FNLU GMMN OMDB Any help would be greatly appreciated. In addition, being an American pilot (who has also flown quite a bit in Europe), is/are there any special procedures I should be aware of/consider when flying in this part of the world? Thank you for your time and [Mod - Happy Thoughts]istance. Hope to see ATC online when our group flight starts out again from LPPT!
