Alexander Cohrs Posted January 29, 2010 at 04:27 PM Posted January 29, 2010 at 04:27 PM There is a tool named Groundmaker which might help. To be honest, I never understood how to use it, but fortunately one of our members did. So it might need some patience... Alex
Julian Hoffman 850174 Posted February 2, 2010 at 04:24 PM Posted February 2, 2010 at 04:24 PM Groundmaker wasn't used for Sector Files, but for making Freeware scenery files, to my recollection. Harry Nelson 815166 Posted August 2, 2010 at 10:04 PM Posted August 2, 2010 at 10:04 PM Ross, I am working on some new sector files for VATME and have a question, how to make a circle around a specific point. Like making a 10 mile circle around the BAH VOR. I use groundmaker to do the sector file but am having problems making the Circle. Any help you can give would be appreciated. Ross Carlson Posted August 2, 2010 at 11:44 PM Posted August 2, 2010 at 11:44 PM Circles are just made up of a series of short line segments. I don't use GndMaker so I don't know if it has a tool to generate the segments or not. There may be some third-party tool or spreadsheet that people have used for that purpose too ... not sure. Marvin Palmer Posted August 15, 2010 at 05:10 AM Posted August 15, 2010 at 05:10 AM Harry, one product I'd suggest using is called ASRC CirclePlotter V1.1 by Michael Oxner. It's good for making circles around objects, the only downside is it uses decimal degrees for a center point. You can find it on AVSIM or the download link is: http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=59060
