Anthony ImBoden Posted October 2, 2005 at 04:08 AM Posted October 2, 2005 at 04:08 AM Does anyone know of any site that would give a basic map of the taxiways at various airports, The main ones I am looking for are CYYZ (Toronto/Pearson) CYVR (Vancouver Intl), CYWG (Winnipeg Intl), and CYUL (Montreal-Dorval). Any [Mod - Happy Thoughts]istance in this would be greatly apreciated. Victor Sussman 911965 Posted October 3, 2005 at 05:40 AM Posted October 3, 2005 at 05:40 AM Anthony, To add to what's been said here already, if you go to the VATCAN site you will find that the Edmonton FIR (http://bathursted.ccnb.nb.ca/vatcan/fir/edmonton/index.html) has provided downloadable PDFs for the Canada Air Pilot (CAP), NavCanada's publication for instrument approach procedures. Detailed taxiway and parking charts are included for each airport. Several other resources are also available for download at the site. Though the PDFs are large, they're well worth it -- I have mine burned onto a CD for ready access, though I've printed out some for places I visit frequently. Individual FIR sites are linked through the main VATCAN site and you can often obtain 'excerpts' from the CAP on those sites. I think you'll find the charts very clear and easy to follow, but you can certainly try using one offline to see how things go. Oh, and the VATCAN site is the one with the 'bathursted etc.' address, but you can use the address http://www.vatcan.org. Jim Allan Posted October 3, 2005 at 04:48 PM Posted October 3, 2005 at 04:48 PM The BEST and probably the most acurate docomeent for taxiways and such for Canadian airfields can be found at the NAVCAN site. It is downloadable in Adobe (.pdf) format. http://www.navcanada.ca/ContentDefinitionFiles/Publications/AeronauticalInfoProducts/pdf/CAMS/CAMS_current.pdf Have fun!
