Andreas Stangenes Posted February 13, 2010 at 11:17 PM Posted February 13, 2010 at 11:17 PM I got the intercom to work 1 time. It was really nice. So easy to coordinate and no need for teamspeak. However, I havent gotten it to work since... My ATC brethren have the same problem. You make a call, answer, and its just silent. We have configured a secondary PTT button. What gives, and what can we do to correct it?
Todor Atanasov 878664 Posted February 14, 2010 at 04:09 PM Posted February 14, 2010 at 04:09 PM Well you can check your secondary hardware settings and any kind of anti-virus programs, routers and firewalls. Andreas Stangenes Posted February 15, 2010 at 01:35 PM Author Posted February 15, 2010 at 01:35 PM Will the intercom work in such a way that it can stop working by firewall or router settings, while the rest of euroscope is working fine? In other words, that the regular voice is working while the secondary is prevented from doing so by user settings on the system? And what firewall and router settings do you suggest I check out? Todor Atanasov 878664 Posted February 15, 2010 at 02:14 PM Posted February 15, 2010 at 02:14 PM The intercom is p2p, it do not go via VATSIM servers. So you may one to check that your route or firewall is not blocking the p2p. EuroScope BETA Tester/Board of Designers
Magnus Gustafsson Posted February 15, 2010 at 02:20 PM Posted February 15, 2010 at 02:20 PM Ground to Ground voice communication - When you initiate a landline voice call and the remote controller accepts it then the remote computer will try to reach your computer UDP port. Therefore to be able to initiate landline calls you should open UDP port 3291 for incoming requests. When you are behind a router you should forward this port to your workstation. Andreas Stangenes Posted February 16, 2010 at 10:53 AM Author Posted February 16, 2010 at 10:53 AM Thanks for the answer Magnus! So will that in reality mean that everybody using ES will have to forward this port for the intercom to work?

Todor Atanasov 878664 Posted February 17, 2010 at 03:58 PM Posted February 17, 2010 at 03:58 PM No as Jonas said, usually you will not need to do it manually. But if you have problem with it you should do it to fix it. EuroScope BETA Tester/Board of Designers
