I have the following self made machine

AMD XP300+

1GB DDR3200 RAM

ATI X800 256MB AGP

Loads of HDD

2x 17" flat panels

Question is simply, what should I be getting performance wise or can someone advise on setting to improve performance.

Thanks

an extra 512 or gig of ram would help with allowing other apps to be loaded while FS is running.

Perhaps this post and the "Windows XP SP2" post could get merged?

You should be getting about 25 - 30 FPS with all settings maxed out.

However, any other programs that are open with cut into this.

Also two monitors off one video card will also affect the FPS.

Best
