Job Outline To become the primary webmaster for the existing VATCAR-hosted Kingston FIR Website located at: http://www.kingston.vatcar.org Updating all pertinent information contained on the website in a timely manner, including but not limited to Events, Staff Changes, Files available for download, charts, etc. Monitoring Website development trends and redeveloping the Kingston FIR Website to keep it in line with, or better than, industry best practice. To maintain, update, and optimise the Kingston FIR Exams Moodle Webpage to ensure that it is user friendly and benefits training. Developing innovative applications to help controllers Developing YouTube Videos to promote Kingston FIR Maintaining Kingston FIR Facebook Group Maintaining the Kingston account on VATCAR TS Server Coordinate Website interaction with VATCAR IS Department Creating and updating docomeentation related to Kingston Website functions. Troubleshooting and solving problems related to Kingston Website and IT Support to Staff Creating and maintaining periodic Kingston Website Backups Liasion with the Training Department and the Events and Marketing Department to [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ist in their needs. Participate in and / or observe at various meetings, such as FIR Meeting, VATCAR Meeting, etc. To maintain an online presence above minimum required Critical Competencies Attention to Detail and Quality Organising for Results Interpersonal Ability Professionalism Problem Solving and Decision Making Strategic Thinking Good docomeentation skills Qualifications & Experience A working knowledge on popular website development tools like HTML, PHP, CSS, MySQL, JavaScript, Flash, AJAX. A working knowledge on popular CMS including Joomla. Drupal and Wordpress. Must have basic knowledge about web hosting and domain names.
