Joshua Black Posted March 2, 2010 at 03:21 PM Posted March 2, 2010 at 03:21 PM viewtopic.php?f=15&t=47187&p=345103#p345103 viewtopic.php?f=3&t=47186&p=345064#p345064 viewtopic.php?f=4&t=47164&p=344948#p344948 Since you didn't seem to get what Brian told you in one of the previous posts, I'll re-post it. I have already explained to you how to join VATUSA. The process for joining VATCAN if you really want to make Canada your home is as follows: 1) Change your Region to North America and your Division to Canada. That is done with this form: http://cert.vatsim.net/vatsimnet/regch.php 2) Visit VATCAN and register to become a controller. Following that, they will take you through the necessary steps to start training. http://www.vatcan.org/register/registeratc.php Of course, once you start controlling and build some time and skills, you can become a visiting controller at many places. But in the meantime, you really need to decide where you want to call home, as far as your ATC training is concerned. Joshua Black
Board of Governors Matthew Cianfarani Posted March 2, 2010 at 10:47 PM Board of Governors Posted March 2, 2010 at 10:47 PM Ling, I noticed that you are now [Mod - Happy Thoughts]igned to North America - Canada. In order to properly register to control on the VATSIM Network inside the Canadian division, You need to follow the next steps: 1 - Go here: http://www.vatcan.org/register/registeratc.php and register for the NTU (National Training Unit) 2 - Wait for an email from an NTU Instructor, whom will help you get set up for controlling and teach you the basics 3 - After completion of the NTU, transfer to the FIR of your choice. Should you need any help, please send me an email at matt[at]czwg.ca or go to the Staff Page http://www.vatcan.org/about/staff.php and send the correct person a message. Hope to see you on the NTU Roster shortly! Matthew Cianfarani Vice President , Technology VATSIM Board of Governors

Alan Taylor 825557 Posted March 3, 2010 at 04:51 AM Posted March 3, 2010 at 04:51 AM Hi Ling, it appears that our site is having trouble connecting to the VATSIM database for some reason (this is being repaired) in the meantime I have created an account for you and the site has emailed you a temporary p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]word which it will force you to change when you next login. This should start the automated process of registering you in the NTU and becoming a controller in Vancouver (eventually.) I apologize for the technical glitch and would like to welcome you aboard!
