Sanya FIR covers the entire island of Hainan, well-known for tourism and nicknamed "Eastern Hawaii" because of its magnificent beaches encomp[Mod - Happy Thoughts]ed by tropical weather. Pilots are invited to fly from and to its neighboring airports, Hong Kong Intl (VHHH) and Kaohsiung Airport (RCKH), or fly between Haikou and Sanya.
