Chris Bugyi 1068786 Posted March 21, 2010 at 06:32 PM Posted March 21, 2010 at 06:32 PM Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a new computer to suite FSX. I looked at the system requirements for FSX (I bought Gold Edition a while ago) and it seems like it will be really good. I am sticking with FS9 on the computer i'm on now because I get very little lag with high settings; unlike FSX. Since PMDG is making a B777 and it looks like it will only be for FSX I will be switching over (Along with a lot of other payware aircraft and scenery's) Here is the link to the computer - http://www.walmart.com/ip/Dell-1-TB-i570-5378PBK/13316869 Tell me what you think..... Darrol Larrok 1140797 Posted March 21, 2010 at 06:48 PM Posted March 21, 2010 at 06:48 PM It's decent. Would be better if it had a Nvidia GTS 2(5 or 6)0 card and a Phenom II instead of an Athlon.

Darrol Larrok 1140797 Posted March 22, 2010 at 01:31 AM Posted March 22, 2010 at 01:31 AM That one isn't as good. The first has a lower clock speed, but more cores which is better. It also has more RAM, which is crucial. A better graphics card would also be good, those are both ATI and Nvidia's low end cards. GPU doesn't matter so much for FSX(unfortunately) but it helps, and you'll want it for better designed games. Major brand name computers aren't a great choice. They charge you lots of money and give you a substandard product. I recommend custom build companies, you can get an awesome computer for 500-800 dollars. Although personally I chose to build my desktop, which is always the best choice.

Darrol Larrok 1140797 Posted March 23, 2010 at 02:42 AM Posted March 23, 2010 at 02:42 AM I agree, looks nice. Of course, the only way to really get a good computer and a good deal is to build it yourself, which isn't terribly hard
