Jose Miguel Villamizar 112 Posted March 29, 2010 at 09:42 PM Posted March 29, 2010 at 09:42 PM Honestly I couldn't find ANY solutions to my current problem. Every time I go online I'm able to see the traffic and scenery with no problem what so ever BUT every single airplane is the same one as me. e.g if I go online using a Cessna all the traffic that i see is the same Cessna im using even though theyre using 767 757 747 a380 (normal vatsim traffic) etc. why is this happening??? i uninstall Mccafee and turn the firewall off but nothing. any ideas? also, before you say is squawkbox fault I doubt it because i dont always use the vatsim/squawbox server to fly online, when I fly with other people (vfr club) in a different server same thing happens and im unable to see them in their actual plane just as the one im flying. I'm using FS9 Squakbox(once again i doubt it squawkbox fault but you never know) video card - radeon x1600/x1650 series PLEASE help me with this!. I really dont want to keep flying to airports with traffic and all of them are the same airplanes as me. "Shoot for the Stars."

Ernesto Alvarez 818262 Posted March 31, 2010 at 05:35 AM Posted March 31, 2010 at 05:35 AM ive seen this happen when squawkbox gets blocked by a firewall/antivirus, but you've said you have disabled these, and that it happens even without squawkbox during regular multiplayer sessions. whatd cause that i have no clue. if you are using a router or something check its internal firewall, maybe proxy aswell. Ernesto Alvarez 818262 Posted March 31, 2010 at 08:56 PM Posted March 31, 2010 at 08:56 PM are you able to connect your PC directly to your modem? thatd be a good way to rule out the router as a possible cause. another reason that you would get that echo, when your just on a regular multiplayer connection, you have to have the same model as the other player, otherwise itll show up as what you are flying. something similar can occur in squawkbox if your CSL wasnt installed correctly
Jose Miguel Villamizar 112 Posted April 1, 2010 at 08:55 PM Author Posted April 1, 2010 at 08:55 PM yesterday i went to the router firewall to open the necessary ports for FS: UDP 23456 UDP 6073 UDP 2300 to 2400. I'm 100% sure they are open now but nothing seems to work. still the same planes. I switch ALLOW_PLANE_MODEL_SEND=0 to 1 AND ALLOW_PLANE_MODEL_RECEIVE=0 to 1, uninstall mccafe, turn off my firewall , open the ports, and nothing! anything else? "Shoot for the Stars." Richard Gerrish Posted April 1, 2010 at 09:53 PM Posted April 1, 2010 at 09:53 PM I have to agree with ernesto. try connecting your PC directly to the modem. if you don't want to do that try to set up a DMZ on your router...that will essentially take the router out of the mix as well Richard Gerrish Developer, STM Applications Group
