GIORGIO Tresoldi Posted April 15, 2010 at 03:41 PM Posted April 15, 2010 at 03:41 PM - The autotext messages are using aliases to allow changing them How does it work autotext? For me also if an aircraft has /t/ doesn't work.... In aliases is there a variable like $arr to show up the SID like for example $sid or one to see thew scratch pas like $scratch or to see temp altitude like $tempalt or similar... Is there a list of all this? Giorgio Tresoldi C3 I1 P1P2P4 ID:967456 ACCIT7 VATITA Membership coordinator
Gergely Csernak Posted April 26, 2010 at 03:04 PM Posted April 26, 2010 at 03:04 PM When you have an AC with /t as communication type, you have enabled the autotext feature in the settings dialog and you give some instruction for that AC using the TAG popup menus (like temp altitude [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ignment) the the proper "Climb to FLXXX" message is copied to the command line and you only have to press the FREQ message button to send it to the right plane. You can find the the autotext aliases in http://www.euroscope.hu/mediawiki/index.php?title=Editing_And_Function_Keys. When you set the temporary altitude for a text only plane for descending ES copies .autodescendlevel or .autodescendaltitude to the command line and extracts it like any other aliases. Gergely. Ross Bristo 1010003 Posted July 28, 2010 at 11:13 AM Posted July 28, 2010 at 11:13 AM Can these be edited ? and if so where are the autotext commands located? In my file i have them at the bottom and have changed the phraseology to match UK phraseology. .autoproceed Route direct $1. .autoclearedils Turn $1 heading $2 to intercept the localiser runway $arrrwy($arr). When localiser established, descend with the glidepath. .autoclearedvisual Make a visual switch onto runway $deprwy($arr). .autoclimblevel Climb FL$1. .autoclimbaltitude Climb to altitude $1 ft, QNH $altim($dep) mb. .autodescendlevel Descend FL$1. .autodescendaltitude Descend to altitude $1 ft, QNH $altim($arr) mb. .autospeed Speed $1 kts. .automach Fly Mach number $1. .autonospeed No ATC speed restriction. .autoturnleft Turn left heading $1 degrees. .autoturnright Turn right heading $1 degrees. .autocontact Contact $1 on $2. Bye. .autosquawk Squawk $1.
Graeme Florance 906409 Posted July 28, 2010 at 05:30 PM Posted July 28, 2010 at 05:30 PM Ross Thank you for your reply, i don't see them in the Alias file. Can you send me yours so i can compare. Changing for US phraseology s what i want to do also Cheers Graeme
Ross Bristo 1010003 Posted July 28, 2010 at 07:50 PM Posted July 28, 2010 at 07:50 PM They're not automatically in the alies file, you need to just copy mine and paste it in to your alies file.

Todor Atanasov 878664 Posted October 8, 2010 at 01:29 PM Posted October 8, 2010 at 01:29 PM BTW, is there a similar keyword for "Contact me ..." message? # HOME If the command line is not empty then it is the good old HOME key that moves the cursor to the beginning of the line. But if the command line is empty then it places the .contactme command to the editor. Important, if there is an aircraft which TAG is in detailed mode (the mouse is over it) then the command is executed immediately. http://euroscope.hu/mediawiki/index.php?title=Editing_And_Function_Keys EuroScope BETA Tester/Board of Designers

Todor Atanasov 878664 Posted October 8, 2010 at 05:40 PM Posted October 8, 2010 at 05:40 PM I missed that, The default alias are inside ES, you can overwrite them by putting them in your alias.txt file and simply change them. Todor Atanasov 878664 Posted October 8, 2010 at 06:14 PM Posted October 8, 2010 at 06:14 PM As I said, there are not there, the default are build-in ES. You have to copy the .autoproceed Proceed direct to $1 .autoclearedils Cleared ILS approach RWY $1 .autoclearedvisual Cleared visual approach RWY $1 .autoclimblevel Climb to FL $1 .autoclimbaltitude Climb to altitude $1 ft by QNH $altim($dep) .autodescendlevel Descend to FL $1 .autodescendaltitude Descend to altitude $1 ft by QNH $altim($arr) .autospeed Speed $1 KT indicated .automach Mach number $1 .autonospeed Resume normal speed .autoturnleft Turn left heading $1 .autoturnright Turn right heading $1 .autocontact Contact $1 on frequency $2. Have a good flight and landing. Bye. .autosquawk Set squawk $1 inside the file you found, and simply edit the part after the ".autospeed", for example, with whatever you want. Todor Atanasov 878664 Posted October 8, 2010 at 08:47 PM Posted October 8, 2010 at 08:47 PM Ok tried that but didnt seem to work. I guess i dont understand why i cant just edit the .auto functions that are already in the system. They must be in there somewhere to edit ?? Because they are build-in, they are not in a file, they are in the code of ES. To overwrite (edit) them you have to put them in the alias file, then all autotexts found will be used from the file, not the source code. To use it you have to select a text only aircraft (it has to have /t) and to activate the feature from the settings menu. Graeme Florance 906409 Posted October 8, 2010 at 08:51 PM Posted October 8, 2010 at 08:51 PM OK Makes Sense One more question, I have two Alias files, one created by euroscope and one created by my ARTCC I [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ume the only one active is the one I have loaded which is the one i use for my facility. I would add these commands to the end of that file or the one created by euroscope. Thanks Graeme
Todor Atanasov 878664 Posted October 8, 2010 at 08:56 PM Posted October 8, 2010 at 08:56 PM Yes the active file will be the one you have loaded in ES. EuroScope BETA Tester/Board of Designers

Yes I could edit it in the editor, but what I want is to change the default message without typing it each time I issue a .contacme . Too many newbie pilots that reply in private to it lately, so I want to add the part that many controllers already have - "Do not respond to this message, use frequency instead" or somesuch. Todor Atanasov 878664 Posted October 22, 2010 at 07:08 PM Posted October 22, 2010 at 07:08 PM I'm pretty sure that was discussed in the beta, but I'm not 100% sure if it was implemented already or was dropped for further on. Gergely Csernak Posted October 23, 2010 at 11:53 AM Posted October 23, 2010 at 11:53 AM No, there is no alias to replace the default contact me command. If we add this feature we have to use all such messages, like busy and so on. Gergely. EuroScope developer
