Qantas is working with the relevant airport authorities to gain the appropriate clearances to operate supplementary flights between Australia and Europe. Qantas has made further changes to its scheduled services. Wednesday 21 April 2010 The following flights will operate on Wednesday 21 April 2010 From Asia to Europe: QF8209 Singapore to London scheduled to depart at 2305 local time QF8205 Singapore to Frankfurt scheduled to depart at 2320 local time QF8231 Singapore to London scheduled to depart at 2359 local time QF8201 Bangkok to London scheduled to depart at 0045 (Thursday 22 April) local time Flight Route QFA8209 (Boeing B747-400) VJR A457 VPG Y337 GIVAL P628 RK G792 MSD G775 ASB A87 UP A102 NALEM UL32 LI UP851 KIBER UL32 GOMAD UP851 WAR UZ71 INDIG UL980 LAM REG/VHOEF SEL/MQBJ OPR/QANTAS PER/D NAV/RNP4 GPSRNAV RMK/ADSB TCAS EQUIPPED ACARS EQUIPPED As there is extremely limited availability to book any onward travel from London and Frankfurt to other European destinations, Qantas will be unable to book any onward carriage. Airports staff will only be able to check baggage through on flights to London and Frankfurt if onward flights have not been confirmed. Upon landing in either London or Frankfurt, customers who do not have confirmed onward connections will need to collect their baggage from their flight operated by Qantas. If onward flights have already been confirmed, baggage is not required to be collected. Customers should contact the carrier of their onward travel upon arrival, who will be able to [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ist them with booking the first available flights. For those customers requiring additional time to book their onward flights, there has been a relaxation of UK transit visa requirements from 24 to 48 hours.
