Joaquin Blanco Posted April 28, 2010 at 12:47 PM Posted April 28, 2010 at 12:47 PM FS9 running on Windows Vista Ultimate 64. Having a problem that developed only recently. When booting PC it hangs when loading USB Controllers if the Saitek Yoke is connected. Used to work fine before, but for some unknown reason this problem has arisen out of the blue. So now I have to boot ensuring the Yoke is not connected but once in the OS I can connect the Yoke and it works well. Any ideas why the boot sequence hangs? Any help much apreciated. Thanks Best regards Joaquin Blanco

Joaquin Blanco Posted April 28, 2010 at 05:47 PM Author Posted April 28, 2010 at 05:47 PM Yes, seriously thinking to upgrade although I must say Vista 64 is working for me very well in every other respect. I must be one of the few people who likes this OS. Richard, thanks for your reply. Best regards Joaquin Blanco
Charan Kumar Posted April 28, 2010 at 08:50 PM Posted April 28, 2010 at 08:50 PM Joaquin, it could also be a simple driver conflict. Happened to me recently but on Win7 with one of the nVidia drivers and has happened even with WinXp before with some sound drivers. In this case I had to boot safe mode, remove the driver completely, let the system boot up without it then reinstall the drivers, albeit a later version. Problem was gone!! I must be one of the few people who likes this OSI would believe so +1 on the upgrade tho!!
