Claude Brunette 1147272 Posted April 30, 2010 at 09:54 AM Posted April 30, 2010 at 09:54 AM Not sure if I'm posting in the right section, if not, please advise and re-direct me in the right section. I installed a second monitor on my computer and all went according to plan except I am unable to drag anything from FSX from my main monitor to my secondary one. I'm able to drag other programs, but nothing from FSX. For example, I was trying to drag the GPS and the radio stack to the secondary monitor but these wouldn't apear. The mouse cursor apears in the secondary monitor but the items don't. What am I doing wrong? Is it a setup issue in FSX? Any help would be greatly apreciated. Secondly, everytime I open anything else in the computer, FSX gose to pause. Is there a way I can take this feature off so that FSX always remains active and doesn't pause unless I ask it to. Many thanks, again any help would be greatly apreciated. Claude
Wycliffe Barrett Posted April 30, 2010 at 10:48 AM Posted April 30, 2010 at 10:48 AM Ok I'll do the FSX pausing issue first, go to the settings screen in FSX and you will find a button called pause on task, if there is a tick mark in there take it out. That will stop the sim from pausing as you do other things. When you want to move an item to another screen such as radio stack of FMC you need to right click on it, it will then come up with a menu whihc will say undock, click on that and you can then drag your items about willy nilly. Hope this helps and solves your problem. Randy Tyndall 1087023 Posted May 5, 2010 at 12:49 AM Posted May 5, 2010 at 12:49 AM Wycliffe, You misunderstand where I was headed with my "attempt at humor" post. He called you "Wales" (and then apologized) His name is Claude, so you responded "No Problem, Claude" and I thought you should mistype his name as "Cliff", as in "No problem, Cliff". I had no idea people actually called...or tried to call...you that. Now I'll just shut up and behave myself Randy Tyndall - KBOI ZLA I-11/vACC Portugal P4 “A ship is always safe in the harbor. Wycliffe Barrett Posted May 5, 2010 at 11:20 AM Posted May 5, 2010 at 11:20 AM hahahaha Randy I am quite literally sat here in work chuckling at my mistake. Text can be such a pain when trying to convey humour. Sorry for the kneecap breaking bit of humour. A quick story, I was at a labour Party Confrence many years ago, when I first started on my political career. I was not going to speak but found something on the agenda that interested me, so I wrote a quick 3 minute speech (you only got three minutes atthe rostrum). I spoke it was well received and as I stepped from the rostrum a photographer came froward and asked for my name as he had take several shots of me during my speech. So that he would get my name right for the future publication of a Trade Union magazine I wrote down my name for him. "Wycliffe Barrett". Some 3 months later I receieved a copy of the magazine which was distributed to 850,000 union members. The center spread was a feature on the conference I had attended, with a picture of me speaking at the rostrum, beneath, it said :- "Wycihittie Barretti, speaks on Child Protection issues in South Wales" You can imagine my anger.
