Is the Captain Sim 757 Supported by V-route [Primium]?

Hi there,

I was hoping that i could download some flight plans using the V-route premium program for my Captain Sim 757. i have loaded the latest cycle from Navigraph.

 

is it possible?

 

If not is there a simular program that Automatically loads the FMS on the Captain Sims 757 ?

But how or where do i export a route from?

I use Vroute all the time for my PMDG models, my level-d and wilco products.

 

when i fill in the required fields in the export section and then open up the export format section, i can't find the Captain sim 757 there.

Is it under another name?

However i was looking for the part where i can export the plan straight to my flight plans[FMS] ( and then use the Co flight plan in the FMS) in the C-S 757.

I have only just got it and i think i just use the "EXPORT FORMAT" ecstion of V-route and then just use the flight simulator x option.

I'll check it when i get back to the house. I'm pretty sure that it will load into the FMC using the 757-300 captain sim.

As far as I've heard, CS 757 does not have a distinct own flight plan format and uses FSX format instead. If it turns out I'm wrong, please send me a few sample files to [email protected] and I will see if they can be generated out of vroute.

Thanks guys, i also think that the only way to download flight plans from V-route directly is by using the flightsim x file.

 

i have also been able to save my flights in the 757's FMS as it has it's own section for flightplans [like PMDG and the WILCO Airbus]

 

i will attemt to attch the file here to show you. don't know if it helps or not?

 

[i've just named the files the same way PMDG would. ie [YMMLYSSY.]

I got that file from microsoft flightsime x/Captain_Sim/Navigation/Routes/LOWWEGGLL.rte

 

As i mentioned earlier i originally got that flight plan from V-route/export/flight simulator x. Then once i entered it into the Captain Sim 757 FMS i then saved it. It was saved in the Captain_Sim/Navigation/Routes file.

 

[As a note, the way the files looks when saved in the Captain_Sim/Navigation/Routes file is simular to how the PMDG file looks like. (RTE file) ??]

something's wrong here. How could possibly a file saved from Captain Sim 757 have a header saying "generated by vroute premium"? Are you totally absolutely sure it's not a PMDG file generated by vroute?

Hi Michal,

You are right, it was most likely a file from PMDG that was saved in my Flight Simulator X file. [sorry about that] i tried another file that i saved in the 757 FMS and this is what it came as.

Obviously a binary file that you cannot paste into forums and that is not a FSX/FS2004 format either.

 

Please zip and mail to [email protected] - I'll see if I can figure out the syntax. Ideally, please mail me a few samples.

Sorry to h[Mod - Happy Thoughts]le you and thank you for your time and help once again.

 

I do not know how to "zip" a file.I do have that thing called WinRAR, do i use that and if so how?

 

also, would it be those files [flight plans] that i have saved into my Captain-sim's 757 FMS using the save flight option in the FMS.That you want Zipped?

 

I originally got the flight plan using the V-route and exporting a plan using the Flight sim X. then i used the option to retrieve a flight plan from fs in the 757's FMS.

 

I don't want to be wasting your time Micha,l so if it's too much trouble just let me know, i will understand. thank you. [it's not helping you the fact that i am no good with computers.???]

zipping a file with WinRar is as easy as

 

1) right click on the file you want to Zip

 

2) a dialog box will open up. on the left side you will see 2 radio buttons one labeled Zip. be sure to select the button labeled Zip

 

3) then press Ok

I inspected the files but - regretably - they are far too complex to be recreated by vroute, at least not without docomeentation from Captain Sim.
