Craig Moulton Posted October 13, 2005 at 03:01 PM Posted October 13, 2005 at 03:01 PM I really don't know why you'd want to do that, but the Schweitzer Sailplane (FS9 default) uses a MPH airspeed gauge. Fly Safe! Have Fun! Craig Moulton
Ben Zwebner 906832 Posted October 13, 2005 at 03:30 PM Author Posted October 13, 2005 at 03:30 PM OK, let me explain why... I am making a repaint of a cessna 172 in the colors of my Real world Trainer plane, 4X-CHE... now for some reason, CHE's airspeed guage is in MPH and she has 40 degrees of flaps rather than the normal 30.... so my question is: Can anyone suggest to me a CESSNA airspeed gauge that is in MPH? or how would i go by making one??? Owen Catherwood 903683 Posted October 13, 2005 at 04:14 PM Posted October 13, 2005 at 04:14 PM That I'm aware of there is no Cessna MPH gauge that anyone's made. Your best bet would be to grab a WWII fighter/bomber that had an MPH gauge and add that to your Cessna panel in place of it's IAS gauge. Norman Blackburn Posted October 13, 2005 at 04:19 PM Posted October 13, 2005 at 04:19 PM John Woodside has an excellent tutorial on where he needed the very same thing. He had never done any gauge work but shows how with notepad and a graphics editor you can achieve the required result. http://www.homepages.mcb.net/bones/04fs/tutorial/XML.htm is the tutorial. He has some other excellent stuff there. Well worth a read. Norman
