Sebastien Bartosz Posted May 19, 2010 at 04:15 AM Posted May 19, 2010 at 04:15 AM Hi, to get scenery, you have to download it from a site. Here are the sites I use for scenery: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?s=ddf41d7065e8f38a18e3ae0e1172db5d&app=downloads&showcat=6 http://xpfr.scenery.dtccorp.org/ And remember, you can convert FS2004 scenery using FS2XPlane http://simviation.com/fs2004scenery1.htm On google, try typing X Plane EIDW for example. You just type X Plane and the ICAO of the airport you are looking for, it usually works if there is a scenery available. Here is a scenery map for XPlane, but remember, its not complete. http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=30718 Once you have the scenery downloaded, you unzip it and put it into C:\Program Files\X-Plane 9\Custom Scenery New York ARTCC
Aryn Brooks 1143551 Posted May 19, 2010 at 09:00 AM Author Posted May 19, 2010 at 09:00 AM uff! lol thank you so much for the help! i was hopping there would be a different way of doing this. ive had soo much trouble doing that method last time. i dont know how to use it....... all this converting, and unzipping.... i would rather have some one do it for me. is there an easier way? im just looking for basic scenery that the game uploads to the computer. like you know when you first upload it. it gives you a graph of the world and you choose the areas you want? is there a way i can get back to that???!!! what is the 6th DVD disk that comes with the game??! thanks again!!!! Sebastien Bartosz Posted May 19, 2010 at 10:43 AM Posted May 19, 2010 at 10:43 AM Install XAddonManager, it will unzip, and install scenery/aircraft. You just have to download the file, and select the right directory to install it in. The rest is automated. New York ARTCC

I think you're referring to the Global Scenery that comes with the game on the DVDs. If you didn't install it all before, and want to add to (or remove) what you previously installed, put in DVD 1, run the installer, and click on "Add or Remove Scenery." It should prompt you for the rest.

I'm on a Mac, too. Pop in Disc 1, run "Installer Mac". This is what I see: Click "Add Or Remove Scenery", click continue, then I get this, after it scans my files for a bit: Hope this helps. Chris Kawchuk 1129097 Posted June 10, 2010 at 07:04 PM Posted June 10, 2010 at 07:04 PM What I find funny is that the OP has issues with a .zip file, and copying a file into a directory; how the heck is he going to do a CAT-3 ILS approach in a B737-800? Perhaps they're different skill-sets, I dont know. =) - CK.
