Jason Garrett Posted October 14, 2005 at 05:28 AM Posted October 14, 2005 at 05:28 AM I’m not asking how, (not at this point) but if it’s possible to have one computer handle all of the flight simulator stuff like flying and the sound of the aircraft engines and have another computer handle things like voice and servinfo? The biggest question is can you have all of this and have the radios in your plane still control the changing of the voice channels on the other computer? Ultimately what I see envision in my head is a 3 monitor set up with the serve info gauge on the main flying computer, and the voice software on the second computer. All of this and I can still access the radios from the serveinfo gauge or the radios on the main computer to switch Freq.’s. This is to serve to purposes. To separate the voice and the simulator sound. And to save system resources. I’m in the very beginning stages of a very expensive cockpit project and want to see if this is possible. If it isn’t its not going to derail my project but will change the out come of its design a little bit. Ross Carlson Posted October 14, 2005 at 06:22 AM Posted October 14, 2005 at 06:22 AM Yes, it's possible. Look into WideFS. http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html Developer: vPilot, VRC, vSTARS, vERAM, VAT-Spy Senior Controller, Boston Virtual ARTCC
Martin Georg 811874 Posted October 14, 2005 at 08:11 AM Posted October 14, 2005 at 08:11 AM Hello, this is possible for both pilot clients we have. For FSInn you don´t need any additional software, for Squawkbox 3 you need to have WideFS installed (see Ross' posting). best regards, Martin Georg
