These are very popular with VATSIM pilots and we regularly experience over 100 movements in five hours. In order to expand the success of EuroShuttle, we are now looking for suggestions and bids for future partner airports for the EuroShuttle events. To qualify, your suggested airport must be: - if in an area NORTH-EAST of Scotland (e.g. Scandinavia), no more than 2 hours, 10 minutes from Edinburgh airport (EGPH) - if in an area, SOUTH-EAST of the UK (e.g. Benelux, SAG, Central and Eastern Europe), no more than 2 hours 30 minutes from London-Heathrow airport (EGLL) - if in a country WEST of the UK (e.g. Ireland), no more than 1 hour, 45 minutes from Liverpool airport (EGGP) - if in a country SOUTH of the UK (e.g. France, Spain), no more than 2 hours from London-Gatwick airport (EGKK) The airport also should: - be capable of handling twenty movements per hour; - have more than twenty-five parking places; - be able to handle heavy-category aircraft; - have a team of experienced controllers willing to fully-staff the facility. Please tender your suggestions to ukevents [at] vatsim-uk.co.uk. You should write briefly why you think your airport is suitable, when the last event happened at your suggested airport, and whether the airport suits the criteria. If we get a euroshuttle (or several ) to vaccsca I'll do my very best to ensure we get full staffing and I'll gladly man a position myself.
