G'day everyone,

Now firstly i've been through the PRC and whilst an excellent resource it tended to help more with FS2004 , which is fair enough.

I have FS2002 and Sqwuakbox 3 installed with AVC. Heres what im doing:

1. I open up FS2002

2. open sqwuakbox

3. Go to FS2002 connect to Sqwuakbox 3 via the multiplayer screen. It accepts the connection and goes to the multiplayer screen where it gives you the option to disconnect etc.

4. I then go to squakbox and enter all the details are connect to the server etc.

It then connects fine and i can generaly see the controller listed in the right hand windows etc.

Now heres the problem. The PRC docs say to now enter FS and fly. Well the question is with 2002 where do i go or what do i push? I'm obviopusly connected to VATSIM and everyhtings working but if i go back to FS2002 where do i go?? the only options are create a flight or select a flight. Both of which dont seem to fulfill the multiplayer role.

Well i tried creating a flight and the squawkbox radio seemed to come up fine but within a short period the squawkbox server lost connection with FS, obviously due to me creating a flight etc.

I would really appreciate some guidance as to where im going wrong.

FSINN seems simpler but every trime i try to connect i get the `The host has removed your session' error whereas Squawkbox actually seems to be connecting.

All help appreciated

Hi Steven,

I also have FS2002 and i usually do step 4 before step 3 but i don't think it makes a lot of difference.

First, i don't really understand your problem/question. Once you are connected to Vatsim which you seem to be (you say you can see the controllers in the list in SB3) and you are connected with multi player, then you are logged on and are connected to the Vatsim viritual world.

"The PRC docs say to now enter FS and fly. Well the question is with 2002 where do i go or what do i push?"

Not sure i understand this one. Once you are connected as i described above, you file a flightplan, contact ATC (if any active where you fly) and you fly the airplane. The others are there together with you also connected to Vatsim. Basically Vatsim is a huge multiplayer network.

SB lost connection with FS. Try step 4 before step 3 but also set up your FS2002 with a default flight so you don't have to mess around with this once connected. To do this , select an airfield you want to start at and position yourself on an apron with your favouurite aircraft and save the flight. Make sure to tick the Make this the default flight box.

Next time you start FS2002 you should automatically start with this flight. Be aware that you will have to set the time and date manually when you use it later as the save also saves the time and date.

Hope it helps , best Regards / Jan
