LIGHT UP AMERICA 2010: EASTBOUND!

lua2.jpg

With the huge success of lighting up America last year, VATUSA presents the second annual Light Up America event featuring VATUSA! From 1800z until 0300z, VATUSA will begin to light up from the far reaches of the pacific ocean all the way eastbound to the Atlantic coast. For two entire hours, all of VATUSA will be lit up as you traverse the skies eastbound with the ATC flow. Each ARTCC will be spotlighting one airport in particular that they request you begin or end your flights at. To help you in your flight planning across America, VATUSA has developed some recommended flight routes and estimated departure times for each route. Flight times for each route vary from one to nine hours in length. If you need a break, take two flights! VATUSA has also developed some recommended routes to allow for two flights during the event so that you do not miss a minute of ATC in your area. Each connecting route is planned with a max layover of 60 minutes. You take the break you need, we'll make sure you get to your destination with full ATC coverage.

So, you are probably curious as to the times of the event and the airports that will be featured this year... Look no further...
