Andrew McCabe Posted October 15, 2005 at 03:19 PM Posted October 15, 2005 at 03:19 PM Unfortunately I'm experiencing a few problems with SB3. Stuttering when other traffic is about and some disconnections. I'm scanning the SB3 Support Forums for info about that. BUT, my question is - what is the procedure if I get disconnected enroute ? For example, today I was enroute EGPF to EGCC just p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]ing DEAN CROSS and "pop" I lost connection to SB but FS was still running. Is it permissable to reconnect while in flight, or do I need to start again and re-file a FP etc ? Thanks Andrew
Norman Blackburn Posted October 15, 2005 at 05:19 PM Posted October 15, 2005 at 05:19 PM Andrew, Simply reconnect. You wont suprise anybody by doing so. There is no requirement to refile unless you have been disconnected for more than one hour. Norman
Edward Cummings 933451 Posted October 19, 2005 at 08:26 AM Posted October 19, 2005 at 08:26 AM If FS9 has shut down, not just SQUAKBOX, is it permissable to resume the flight?
Norman Blackburn Posted October 19, 2005 at 08:54 AM Posted October 19, 2005 at 08:54 AM Yes. Just treat it as if you had only disconnected from SB3. If its been more than an hour since your disconnection please remember to refile your flight plan. In all cases when airborne, please make sure to turn the transponder back to normal.
