Frank Otero Posted June 7, 2010 at 01:29 PM Posted June 7, 2010 at 01:29 PM Hello fellow addicts, I am considering mobile broadband from Verizon since my house in the US has only dial-up available (yes, dial-up, for those of you who were born back then, still exists ), Have any of you experience this product, overall satisfaction? How did it work with VATSIM? There are different plans, 250MG/month or 5GB/month. How much band is used to be connected to VATSIM? thanks for the help
Larry James 901346 Posted June 7, 2010 at 02:23 PM Posted June 7, 2010 at 02:23 PM Hello fellow addicts, I am considering mobile broadband from Verizon since my house in the US has only dial-up available (yes, dial-up, for those of you who were born back then, still exists ), Yes. My company still provides that service. Have any of you experience this product, overall satisfaction? I used Cricket broadband for my Laptop while traveling. I found the bandwidth to be more than some people's cable modem. How did it work with VATSIM? Great! There are different plans, 250MG/month or 5GB/month. How much band is used to be connected to VATSIM? Not enough to easily measure. thanks for the help -- L. James -- L. D. I got Verizon and it is working good for what we do on-line and it sure beats dial-up. I have not used it on VATSIM because my hangar is outside the US where I work, but it is good to know that even dial-up will work for VATSIM since I will eventually will be flying from home. Thanks for the help
