Rowan Seagers 1158447 Posted June 17, 2010 at 11:03 AM Posted June 17, 2010 at 11:03 AM Hi There, I am hoping to get involved with the community but I am having trouble connecting to the teamspeak 2 server. I am still waiting for my login details for the teamspeak 3 server. Is there anywhere where I can get details and instructions on how to set up teamspeak to work. I mainly just want to be able to ask some questions like where to download South African sector files. Thanks, Toast
David Van Der Byl 937994 Posted June 17, 2010 at 11:24 AM Posted June 17, 2010 at 11:24 AM Hi Simon On www.vatsaf.com click on the menu item "Start Here" This will show you all the teamspeak details you need. Dont go Teamspeak3 yet as none of the members utilise this. On Teamspeak 2, create a new connection and fill in boxes as follows: Label: Vatsaf Server Address: 208.101.56.248:8404 Nickname : <> Select "Anonyous" User P[Mod - Happy Thoughts]word: vatsaf2007 You should be good to go at this stage. btw. Sectror files will be available from website (still fixing a few links) But do come onto teamspeak where we can set you up with an instructor and provide the required files. Rowan Seagers 1158447 Posted June 17, 2010 at 11:41 AM Posted June 17, 2010 at 11:41 AM Thanks David, I think I have set up everything correctly but Team Speak 2 tells me that No reply from server Maybe the server is offline or maybe teamspeak is not running on it ...blah blah blah. I noticed on the VATSAF site some of the pages keep coming up with some Indian Hackers page, has the site been hacked and maybe that is why there are problems. I am using VRC and I am hoping to just observe for a bit and get a feel for things. Toast
David Van Der Byl 937994 Posted June 17, 2010 at 11:56 AM Posted June 17, 2010 at 11:56 AM Hi There are no strange links on the website, i have just checked. The problem may be your side, i suggest you run a good antivirus. With regards to teamspeak, check your firewall settings and router settings that the address for teamspeak is not blocked. You may have challenge using VRC as all controllers and sector files in South Africa use euroscope. You may be lucky with one or maybe two instructors that would be able to [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ist with VRC. Regards David
Rowan Seagers 1158447 Posted June 17, 2010 at 12:09 PM Posted June 17, 2010 at 12:09 PM Thanks, I'll keep fiddling with Teamspeak. I have created an exception and checked, it doesn't seem to be blocked. This is the link that took me to the Indian site, http://www.vatsaf.net/index.php?option=com_docman&task=cat_view&gid=42&ItemId=67 I see now that it wasn't a link from the site, but a link I got when I Googled "VATSAF sector files" Chat to you soon hopefully, Toast

Is there anybody who knows about these things that can maybe Teamview into my PC to check it out?
