I try to set my transponder to squawk modes c (TA/RA) and it always resets itself back to standby. HELP ME! My 2 flight deadline is nearly up for cal air!

Robert, the sqk mode for VATSIM is on the XSquawkbox menu, that should set it to sqk mode charlie. Not sure what acft you are using but posting acft type might give others a chance to help you better.

1: Set you mode C via the XSB Menu

2: Set Transponder to TA/RA

Personally, I never use the menu, just the radio in the panel. Always works for me.

You should not have to touch the menu. Just set the transponder in-cockpit.

 

The menu is there for planes which may not have a transponder on the panel.

Robert,

 

If all else fails...what plugins do you have installed? You might have installed the 'transponder' plug-in. This will automatically squawk stdby on the ground, even if you attempt to squawk Mode C.
