Charan Kumar Posted June 13, 2010 at 01:45 AM Posted June 13, 2010 at 01:45 AM Robert, the sqk mode for VATSIM is on the XSquawkbox menu, that should set it to sqk mode charlie. Not sure what acft you are using but posting acft type might give others a chance to help you better. Personally, I never use the menu, just the radio in the panel. Always works for me.
Wade Williams 877539 Posted June 16, 2010 at 08:32 PM Posted June 16, 2010 at 08:32 PM You should not have to touch the menu. Just set the transponder in-cockpit. The menu is there for planes which may not have a transponder on the panel.
Keith Smith Posted June 17, 2010 at 05:12 PM Posted June 17, 2010 at 05:12 PM Robert, If all else fails...what plugins do you have installed? You might have installed the 'transponder' plug-in. This will automatically squawk stdby on the ground, even if you attempt to squawk Mode C.
